The schedule for the final week of rehearsals (tech week = May 5 - 10) is given below. There will be NO SITTING IN THE AUDITORIUM AT BCPA DURING THE REHEARSALS. You may wait in the dressing rooms with your child until it is their turn to rehearse. One assigned parent will escort the group to stage and then back upstairs after they are done performing. It is important that all parents help with not entering the auditorium because Twin Cities will incur additional costs for rental of the facility.
No one will be allowed to use the downstairs ballroom.
There is limited space backstage at the facility, but we will have designated parent volunteers to assist. Parents will not be allowed to remain backstage. The dressing room is directly off the backstage area. Please be respectful of the directions given by the volunteers. It is necessary to keep the noise level down backstage.
The shows are being professionally videotaped by Wolfhaven Productions; and order forms are available at the studio, online, or at the performances. Orders can be turned in any time between now and the end of the performance on May 10th. Please make checks payable to TCSD Parent Guild.
No videotaping will be allowed during dress rehearsal As always, for the safety of all of our dancers, flash photography is not allowed at any time.
When you pick up your dancer from rehearsals, please take time to clean up any trash, bobby
pins, or other items you brought with you.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, all female dancers should wear a nude leotard (also known as a “nudie”) under their costumes. Nudies are available at
Flying D Dancewear, (Peoria) or Act 1 (Stacy's Dance Studio - Bloomington). Please do not allow your child to eat
or drink in their costume!
Girls – pink tights, pink ballet slippers
Boys – black tights, black slippers
Hair – Hair should be worn in a bun (bangs pulled back - no middle part in the hair, please). If your child has short bangs, please pull them back and secure with styling gel, hairspray, and pins. With stage lighting, short bangs can cast a shadow on the face.
Makeup – This is a small facility and as such, minimal make up is needed. A bit of mascara, light blush and a hint of lipstick is sufficient.

Boys- Black tap shoes
